Festivities At Lancers, One Of The Top Schools In Gurgaon

Shares a student from Lancers, one of the best schools in Gurgaon, “The journalists of the Editorial club were thinking of doing something about the different Able Clubs in this school when I stumbled upon the idea of writing “Able Club reviews”.

I thought it would be a good idea to interview students from different clubs at LIS. Not only have I written about the students’ views of their clubs in this article, but I have also mentioned the fascinating projects they have been working on.

Firstly, when I think about clubs which are engaged in colorful and enthralling projects, the Creative Arts club comes to my mind. When I first entered the large Art classrooms in the basement, I saw nearly a dozen artists, deeply engrossed in their works. In fact, nobody even noticed us entering the room, such was their level of concentration.

Quietly, I asked Mr. Demetro, the mentor, if I could interview some students, as I would have felt very guilty to interrupt their work. I interviewed Jack at first, who said that he had been in that club for 2 years now, and he cherished every moment of his time there. Apart from Jack, there are others who also enjoy the club and think that it very creative and productive.

Next, I decided to interview members of the music club, as music comes under the arts. Members of the music club think that they have “freedom of creativity” and can practice their musical skills in that club. Musicians, like Gitansh, think that they also get a chance to explore their diverse musical culture and heritage due to the wide availability of Indian musical instruments.

I then interviewed a member of the dance club who had joined a month ago. She thinks that being a member of that club helps keep herself fit, as they have 30 minutes of workout before doing anything. Overall, she thinks that the club is good for her and that she will be glad to be in the club for a longer time.

Finally, I chose to interview members of the Teenovation club, as they would be working on some revolutionary business idea to gain profit in millions. Turns out, they were working on making business presentations, slowly acquiring skills to work their way towards the million rupees goal.

The members of the club have several collaboration sessions where they brainstorm for new ideas. They also enjoy their time collaborating with the mentor, who is very amiable to her members, which is why most of the students have chosen the club.

To conclude, I think that most of the members of the clubs interviewed have a positive view of their clubs.”

The Idea Behind Quotes, by a Student at Lancers, One of the Best Schools in Gurgaon

Shares a student from Lancers, one of the best schools in Gurgaon, “Now, who likes quotes?

Well, I know I do! Quotes are so inspiring and make us feel motivated all the time! So, because of that, we decided to write an article on quotes. We took a survey asking people to talk about their favorite quote from a selected group of quotes. Honestly, it was hard to choose the quotes since there are so many amazing ones in the world! But we finally chose a few and began the survey at school, a few weeks ago.

Each of our quotes was unique and conveyed its own meaningful message. For instance, one of them was trying to convey the message of happiness, and always encouraged people to look at the bright side, while another talked about not giving up, despite illness. The first one by Abraham Lincoln: ‘The best way to predict the future is to create it’

The second, a favorite among students and teachers, was: “You have to fight through some bad days, to earn the best days of your life”

Now this amazing quote is anonymous, yet many people use it in their everyday lives. We love quotes with all our hearts and recommend these two quotes for you to use in your everyday life. We also recommend that you dive in and explore the world of quotations, just like we did!”

Holi is celebrated every year in the month of Falgun (March) by the people of Hindu religion.

It is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm as it brings the feeling of love and closeness among people. Colorful colors are spread out by the people over each other and there is also a saying “Bura Na Mano Holi Hai”, which means don’t feel bad because of its Holi.

On this day everyone is happy and joyful you might even find a person on the streets putting color on you. Kids play with water balloons, water guns and there are also arrangements of fountains where people can get wet and have fun with their friends and family. Personally, if you ask us, Holi is one of our favorite festivals.”

Poem by a Student at Lancers, One of the Top Schools in Gurgaon

Shares a student at Lancers, one of the best schools in Gurgaon, “I wish we were lions,
Courageous and brave,
Not a task we couldn’t slave,
Nor a territory we couldn’t take,
A fierce bold face matching our undeniable swagger of power, With a voice that palpitated the earth and grasped the attention of many.
A royal presence that draws awe and wonder from yonder Rendering all powerless.

I wish we were eagles,
The masters of the heavens,
Soaring above the big blue,
Never limited on how high we fly or how high we vision, An experience that would last a millennium,
We would have a worldwide view of what is, what can and what will be,
Never held down by life forgetting about the horrid idea of sticking on land,
and focusing on the dawn at hand.

I wish we were turtles,
Slow but sure,
Persistence and at par with Sisyphus,
A survivor in its impenetrable armor,
Enduring with great persistence on its feeble feet from the winds of war,
Solomon’s wisdom bestowed from experience,
Never reacting but rather accepting,
A life filled with assertiveness and peace, fearless in the blank face of the unknown,
A life that will be slow to age.

I wish we were wolves,
Never fearing to go solo
In a world where everyone is in packs,
But when together, a fearsome bond is made,
A bond where loyalty and trust run in their veins, Compassion and intense understanding with one another, Intelligence that can withstand any obscurity, Creating a force to be reckoned with diligently.

But alas! as fate would have it, we are humans,
A combination of all the greatest and most feared animals put together,
Measured to be at the top of the food chain with light years of intelligence,
Sadly, our reputation does us no justice,
Weapons of mass destruction,
Forged for our protection has been our immediate downfall, Killing millions of the loved ones we so deemed to protect,
It seems like an excruciating ironic play of dying so I can live, As high as we try to place ourselves the harder we fall,
We make chains to hold each other down if not death is the final call,
We destroy our homes in the purpose of improving our lifestyle, But we should really remember that freedom will not run out of style,
But rather be our lifelong grail, if chosen
Without the fear to fail.”
